British indie rockers Pale Seas have returned with a new song, and holy shit it was worth the wait.
I first fell hard for Pale Seas after hearing the song “Bodies” several years ago and they’ve been silent for quite a bit. The new song “Into the Night” appeared Thursday, and it’s a damn solid banger. The song slowly builds up over the first minute. New layers create quite a soundscape by the time the guitar comes roaring in.
“I keep running but I can’t get through / And ain’t nobody can cure my blues,” lead vocalist Jacob Scott sings, setting the mood. The video also features a live acoustic performance of another new song called “Blood Return”, give it a look below:
The band played a couple gigs in the last week previewing new material at secret gigs in the UK. The accompanying Facebook post with the video said that “Into the Night” and “Blood Return” are two songs taken from their upcoming debut full-length record — which is said to be released later this year. I can hardly wait. The song will be available on most streaming platforms on Friday, May 26. Keep an eye out for it and get ready to add it to your playlists.
