A new two-day event is coming to Las Vegas this December, and damn it looks promising. The inaugural Intersect 2019 lineup is here, and it features a good mix of names worth getting excited about.
The top four names of the phase one lineup are Foo Fighters, Kacey Musgraves, Beck, and Anderson Paak & The Free Nationals. All four are legitimate headliners at this point. The festival takes place Saturday, December 6 through Sunday, December 7 on the Las Vegas Strip next to the Stratosphere.
The festival boasts inclusion of being hosted by a million square feet, including a “custom-built sensory playground featuring an immersive dome, megastructures, arcade, with innovative art throughout.” It seems like the west-coast answer to the short-lived Day For Night Fest in Houston.
The phase one lineup includes other top names like Brandi Carlile, CHVRCHES, Flying Lotus in 3D, Gesaffelstein, H.E.R., Jamie XX, Kaytranada, Leon Bridges, Spoon, Thundercat, and Unknown Mortal Orchestra. A number of those names have headlined second- and third-tier music festivals, and all are known quality live performers. I can vouch. If this is phase one, sign me up.
Festival passes go on sale Friday, August 16 at 12 PM Pacific Time. Two-day general admission passes are $259, two-day VIP is $549, and Intersect Elevated are $849.
Hopeful attendees, can obtain early access to a discounted presale, and the chance to win one of 75 passes. One winner will earn a $10,000 Amazon gift card. The festival is thrown by AWS — Amazon Web Services, which explains the Amazon gift card.
