Bully announces new album, shares “Feel the Same”

Nashville grunge rockers Bully are back, and not a moment too soon.

The band announced the follow-up record to their acclaimed debut record — 2015’s Feels Like. The new record is titled Losing and will drop on October 20 (via Sub Pop). The record was engineered and mixed by frontwoman Alicia Borgnano, who herself interned at Steve Albini’s Electrical Audio studios in Chicago after earning an audio recording degree in college.

The band also shared the new album’s lead track titled “Feel the Same” — a song the band was playing while on the festival circuit last year. I remember loving the sound of it when I heard it at a Governors Ball pre-party show last June, and the studio recording sounds just as tasty.

Borgnano’s vocals give Bully the kind of sound that lets us know what Sheryl Crow would have sounded like if she had gone a more grunge lo-fi route. The band is going on tour this winter but doesn’t have a Los Angeles date as of yet — but they will play San Bernardino’s Cal Jam 17 this October. We’ll let you know as soon as that changes — until then put the catchy two-plus minute “Feel the Same” into your playlists.
