The Growlers have announced the lineup for the 2018 edition of their signature festival Beach Goth 2018. The Voidz, The Drums, Doug E. Fresh, Gwar and more will join The Growlers on Sunday, Aug. 5 at Los Angeles State Historic Park.
According to OC Weekly, Noise Group — parent company to the festival’s former venue The Observatory — sued the band over the rights to Beach Goth’s name and merchandising following the 2016 edition of the festival. That year’s festival faced criticism from attendees over factors such as overcrowded conditions, torrential rain and flooding and cancelled sets. In 2017, the band temporarily rebranded their annual hometown tradition as The Growlers Six in the locale of San Pedro.
Joining The Growlers at the now one-day event in its new Los Angeles location are Starcrawler, Bleached performing as The Ramones, Hatchie, Bushwick Bill and more. The full lineup is listed below.
General admission tickets are $66 plus fees and go on sale Friday, June 15 at 10 AM.
Although the festival has swapped the pre-Halloween vibes of Rocktober for the summer sun of August, costumes are encouraged. Attendees traditionally come decked out in spooky or hilarious getups, as do some of the bands.
