Best Coast’s Bethany Cosentino is one of music’s most vocal leaders and her band is unsurprisingly using their platform for good next month.
Best Coast is throwing what is called “Don’t Sit Down: A Benefit for Planned Parenthood” at the El Rey Theatre on Saturday, March 4. The show will feature performances from Best Coast, along with GROUPLOVE, Jimmy Tamborello (DJ set), Lili Hayes (DJ set), Lovely Bad Things, MUNA, Nina and Louise of Veruca Salt, The Side Eyes, Wavves (DJ set), along with a special appearance by Liz Phair.
In the wake of the threat posed by our current administration, benefit shows like this become more important than ever. As someone who donates to Planned Parenthood myself, I’m happy to see so many talented artists come together in support of such an important cause.
Tickets to the event go on sale Thursday, February 23 at 10 AM Pacific Time. Tickets are priced at $49.50.
