Goldenvoice has announced a new one-day festival for Pasadena this summer. The inaugural Pasadena Daydream 2019 lineup is topped by The Cure and takes place at Brookside at the Rose Bowl on Saturday, August 31.
This festival seems to be taking the place of Arroyo Seco Weekend, which after two years didn’t return to the Rose Bowl this past June. Pasadena Daydream 2019 will also feature the Pixies, Deftones, Mogwai, Throwing Muses, The Joy Formidable, Chelsea Wolfe, The Twilight Sad, Emma Ruth Rundle, Kaelan Milka, and The Chill Out Zone Experience. The lineup was curated by The Cure. You could say it was Cure-rated.
General admission passes are $150, with VIP passes $300. Passes go on sale Friday, May 17 at 12 PM noon Pacific Time. A dollar from every ticket sold will go towards music and arts education organizations and local charities, which include Mr. Holland’s Opus, Little Kids Rock, Free Arts for Abused Children, Inner-City Arts and The Painted Turtle.
