Rising singer-songwriter Lizzy McAlpine took to the Masonic Lodge at Hollywood Forever for a headline gig on Friday night — just a couple weeks removed from a supporting slot to dodie at the Theatre at the Ace last month. The show served as an album-release gig as her much-anticipated record five seconds flat (out now via AWAL Recordings) dropped the very same night.
The album had contributions from GRAMMY-award winners FINNEAS and Jacob Collier among others. The show at the Masonic Lodge brought that record to the forefront and was quite the celebration of it. The record also came with a short film featuring music videos from five of the songs, connected through non-music scenes.
The record as a whole is pretty heartbreaking, and McAlpine had the crowd in their feels for the brief but spectacular show. Check the album out below as well as photos from the show.
