Julia Jacklin has thankfully made Los Angeles a regular stopping spot over the past couple of years, and she’ll be back this November!
The prolific Aussie singer-songwriter will stop at the El Rey Theatre on Sunday, November 24, something to be thankful about a few days before Thanksgiving. She’s touring in support of her second full-length record Crushing, which dropped back in February via Polyvinyl.
The singer is never not working. She put out a record with a side project Phantastic Ferniture last year, and in 2016 released her scintillating debut Don’t Let the Kids Win. We’ve seen her a ton over the years, including an opening slot for Julien Baker and Phoebe Bridgers at the El Rey a couple years ago. That’s where I discovered her, and now she’s headlining on her own.
Tickets to see Julia Jacklin at the El Rey on November 24 are $20.00 and go on sale on Friday, August 16 at 10 AM Pacific Time. Doors are at 8 PM. Christian Lee Hutson is the opening act. Check out her loungey cover of The Strokes classic “Someday” from Aussie radio station triple j’s Like a Version series.
