Rising singer-songwriter Gracie Abrams had a packed show at the El Rey on Friday night, and we were there to capture some of the action.
Performing in support of her latest from November called This is What It Feels Like — Abrams had the crowd in the palm of her hand. There’s a good reason Taylor Swift, Phoebe Bridgers, Lorde, Post Malone, Billie Eilish, and Olivia Rodrigo have all expressed support for the young burgeoning singer, who is the daughter of film director J.J. Abrams and film and TV producer Katie McGrath.
In the spirit of upcoming Easter or something, she even had a plush Peeps doll during one of her songs. She’s an incredible songwriter and her performances are only getting better as she plays bigger and bigger rooms.
