Fresh off a mesmerizing performance at Music Tastes Good 2017 in Long Beach, Canadian power-pop band Alvvays have announced a show at The Roxy in a few weeks!
Alvvays are touring in support of their awesome sophomore record Antisocialites, an album which will surely land them on a number of year-end best-of lists (check out our review of the record here). If you’re a fan of Camera Obscura meets mid-’80s R.E.M., this is right in your wheelhouse. I’ve seen them more than a half-dozen times and am always wowed by their synthy grooves and memorable guitar riffs. Lead singer Molly Rankin has a unique voice and the songwriting is so tongue-in-cheek and fun.
The Alvvays show at The Roxy takes place Monday, October 23. Tickets to the show are priced at $20.00 and go on sale Friday, October 6 at 12 PM noon Pacific Time. There is a presale Thursday, October 5 at 10 AM with the codeĀ PLIMSOLL.
Doors are at 7:30 PM with the show starting at 8:30 PM, and it is an all-ages event. Nap Eyes are opening the show.
