Another day, another ticket giveaway. Nick Murphy, formerly known as Chet Faker, has a show at the Shrine Expo Hall on October 19 and we have a pair of tickets just for you!
Nick Murphy rebranded himself before he started dropping new tunes last year. He exploded on the scene as Chet Faker with his amazing cover of “No Diggity” and then later his debut full-length record. Since going under his real name, his live shows have really transformed. I caught him at Shaky Knees 2017 and was really impressed by how much he’s improved in the live space.
He dropped his Medication EP back in May and his songs have a more upbeat tempo than on his work as Chet Faker. Check out the title track from the EP at the bottom of the post.
Murphy also has a couple of opening acts at the October 19 show at the Shrine that are worth getting there early for. Washed Out will be there, and we covered his amazing show at The Wiltern earlier this fall. Charlotte Cardin will serve as the first opening act as well.
