The Wild Reeds ended their two-month long tour right here at the Troubadour this past Friday night. A hometown show was only fitting to celebrate the success and excitement all surrounding their latest release, Cheers. With the third album down, the group shows no signs of slowing down. Over their almost 10 year run as a band, the three frontwomen: Kinsey, Mackenzie and Sharon only continue to flourish and evolve their music stylings as they go.
With the new album they’ve hit heavy elements of indie rock, pop as well as some Motown. The sold out show was phenomenal. Just like any Wild Reeds show, it primarily showcased the massive talent shared among the group with some of the slickest three-part harmonies to date! The energy was eclectic and magical to say the least. We wish them lots of rest and hope to hear from them sooner rather than later!
