Electro-folk duo Sylvan Esso are returning to Los Angeles next summer with their biggest show yet!
Touring in support of their excellent sophomore album What Now, they’ll headline a show at the Greek Theatre on Tuesday, July 10. The duo has blown up massively in recent years, as they’ve grown a large following thanks to their penchant for delivering fun live shows. It’s quite crazy considering it’s just the two of them on stage, but both Amelia Meath and Nick Sanborn bring such passion and charisma to their show. I’ve seen them almost a dozen times, most recently lighting up a crowd at the Hollywood Palladium earlier this year.
What Now was well received as the follow-up to their excellent 2014 self-titled debut full-length record. Songs like “Radio” and “Die Young” have been getting solid radio play and love since the singles were dropped early in the year. “Die Young” is one of my favorite songs of the year, an interesting and different take on a love song. Their Echo Mountain Sessions EP had the duo bring a live band feel to some of the songs and was quite excellent.
Based on a gap in their touring schedule, I’m fully expecting to see Sylvan Esso at Coachella 2018 — and a handful of other festivals next spring. But if you can’t afford that pricey wristband, nab a couple tickets to see them this summer at the Greek!
Tickets to see Sylvan Esso at the Greek Theatre on Tuesday, July 10 are priced from $29.50 to $49.50 and go on sale Friday, December 8 at 10 AM Pacific Time. There is a Spotify pre-sale happening now with the code JUSTDANCING. A LiveNation pre-sale takes place Thursday, December 7 at 10 AM using the code MYSONG.
