Retro-pop heartthrob Stephen Sanchez brought his first headlining tour through Los Angeles last week with two sold out evenings at the historic The Wiltern in Koreatown. The Friday night performance celebrated both his debut album Angel Face and his actual 21st birthday, with many fans sharply dressed in their best 1950’s attire and screaming both birthday wishes and proclamations of their undying love at the artist.
Sanchez took to the stage in a dark suit over a white shirt and knotted white scarf, his hair slicked back and face unshaven, and proceeded to seduce the ears & eyes of the crowd with 16 dreamy song renditions starting with “Something About Her” and ending with his mega-hit “Until I Found You”. Young women were seen swooning and even crying in joy, as the self-proclaimed ‘Troubadour Sanchez’ crooned his way through the 80-minute emotional rollercoaster of a show.
