Rising Los Angeles indie rockers Starcrawler have dropped a new video, and will wrap up their year with a local show in December.
The teenage rockers blew me away when I first saw them at School Night at Bardot a few months back, and they’ve been making waves ever since. Their video for “I Love LA” is directed by lead singer Arrow de Wilde’s mother Autumn de Wilde, who is known as a renowned photographer and concert documentarian among other things. Watch the video below:
The video features the band portrayed as slackers working at a donut shop, and it quickly evolves from there. It’s a pretty damn slick music video for a new band. “I Love LA” comes from the band’s upcoming self-titled debut album, which drops January 16 via Rough Trade. The record was recorded by rocker Ryan Adams to analog tape.
You can catch Starcrawler at The Echo on Friday, December 15 on a bill with Skating Polly. The show closes out a tour that begins December 1 in Seattle. Their live show is unlike anything I’ve ever seen, and to have such commitment to bizarre antics and characters at such a young age is ballsy as hell and something I think few people would be able to pull off.
