Irish rockers Snow Patrol are returning with their first new album in seven years this May and are playing a handful of shows in anticipation. This includes an intimate Fonda Theatre gig later this April!
The band premiered the lead single “Don’t Give In” earlier this month, and the song has lead vocalist Gary Lightbody sounding a bit gravelly in the opening part of the track. It will only make one New York stop as the only other in the states besides their Fonda Theatre gig on Wednesday, April 25.
I was a massive fan of Snow Patrol. I remember buying their Live at Somerset House DVD at FYE (remember them?) when I only knew a couple of songs and ended up playing that disc over and over again. I’ve never gotten a chance to see them live and am stoked at the chance to see them in a venue as awesome and cozy as the Fonda Theatre. “Spitting Games” and “Chocolate” are such fun jams, and “Run” was always a classic slow-burner.
Tickets to see Snow Patrol at the Fonda Theatre on Wednesday, April 25 are priced at $65.00 and go on sale Friday, March 30 at 10 AM Pacific Time. You can nab a pre-sale code to the show by pre-ordering their album Wildness, according to the band’s website.
