School Night is now extending itself out to Orange County, beginning next Tuesday!
I consider School Night to be the best free weekly musical showcase I’ve ever been to. After establishing themselves in Hollywood at Bardot and later in New York, the Chris Douridas and Matt Goldman produced event will take over The Parish at House of Blues Anaheim.
The event will take place Tuesdays with doors at 7 PM, and 21+ are free before 10 PM, then it’s a $10 cover just like at Bardot. Sets take place at 8 PM, 9 PM, 10 PM, and 11 PM and generally last 30 minutes each. Performers at the inaugural School Night in Orange County include Half the Animal, HAWAI, Birthday, Angelica Garcia, and a DJ set from Grizfolk.
The School Night series is responsible for hosting debut L.A. performances from the likes of alt-J, as well as early performances from HAIM, Gotye, Chet Faker, Elle King, BROODS, Quadron, Sky Ferreira, James Bay, MO, Meg Myers, Rudimental, Gorgon City, and more.
