German indie pop producer Roosevelt has a new record coming this fall, and with it a tour that includes a pit stop in Los Angeles!
It’s been more than two years since Roosevelt last played LA (The Echo in September 2016), but he will make his long-awaited return Friday, December 14 at the Teragram Ballroom.
But first, he will drop his sophomore album Young Romance on September 28 via City Slang/Greco Roman. We’ve gotten the first single from the record “Under the Sun” and it’s a beauty (listen at the bottom of this post).
I’ve got an advance copy of the new record and have been listening to it often. Roosevelt continues to craft lush soundscapes perfect for a long drive or a swim in the pool.
I’ve caught Roosevelt live once — at Governors Ball last year — and was wowed by the fact he had a full band on stage with him. There’s a Duran Duran feel to some of his songs and the way he brings them to life is impressive.
Tickets to see Roosevelt at the Teragram Ballroom are priced at $20.00 and go on sale Friday, July 20 at 10 AM Pacific Time. There is a Spotify pre-sale happening now. Doors open at 9 PM for this all-ages show.
Roosevelt will also be at the Constellation Room in Santa Ana on Saturday, December 15, though tickets haven’t been listed yet. Get his full tour dates below.
