Up-and-coming pop stars ‘Raise the Volume’ at The Echo

Up-and-coming pop singers Isabel Dumaa, Kiki Kramer, and Meghan Chen took to the stage at intimate Echo Park venue The Echo in Los Angeles last weekend (10/26/24), each performing full band live sets in support of Planned Parenthood. The event was sponsored by political entertainment media company MeidasTouch Network and by Flood Magazine, and was organized by Prelude Productions, which is a local group founded by students from the University of Southern California. Entitled “Raise The Volume”, the purpose of the benefit concert was to raise awareness for women’s reproductive rights during the crucial weeks leading up to this year’s general election, and also to educate attendees on how to register to vote.

Local pop/folk singer-songwriter and USC music student Meghan Chen, known as the “white eyebrow girl”, started the evening off with an energetic suite of authentic personal songs that were as unique and intriguing as her signature look. Multi-genre artist Kiki Kramer then followed with a visually & aurally stimulating performance, reminiscent of some sort of inexplicable and beautiful combination of Lana Del Rey and Chappell Roan. Soon-to-be pop superstar Isabel Dumaa, who has recently been hyped by Paste Magazine and Live Nation’s Ones To Watch, closed out the evening with a gorgeous headlining set featuring songs from her debut EP Just My Nature. Keep an eye out for all three of these artists in the future!
