Everyone has their own idea of that perfect mix that really signifies the start of summer. The May gray was real, but it looks like we have avoided any June gloom for the moment. Canadian DJ Pat Lok just dropped a mix via his label Kitsuné that really pairs well with the weather that’s finally started to appear.
To me, a fire mix is one in which I discover a ton of new artists and songs I didn’t know existed. You know a mix is fire when you Shazam it a half-dozen times in the first half hour. Pat Lok’s mix has some gems from Pomona Dream, a Poolside remix of Miami Horror, and some Tito Candela.
Pat Lok was kind enough to also share a Spotify playlist of all the songs featured in the hour-long Soundcloud mix. I didn’t discover this until after all my Shazaming — but here you go:
Kitsuné also has a party taking place in Los Angeles at the NoMad Hotel in DTLA near Pershing Square on Thursday, June 14. The event is called Kitsuné Afterwork from 7 PM to 11 PM on the rooftop of the hotel and is RSVP only. Click here to RSVP to the event.
French label favorite Kitsuné recently celebrated a collaboration with the NBA and have been making waves both in music and fashion culture. Pat Lok is one of the label’s best talents and proved with this mix he can bring the rooftop party in LA vibes in spades.
