Nettwerk Music Group held their invitation-only ‘Happy Hour’ event last Thursday evening at the intimate Hotel Cafe in Hollywood, featuring performances by ethereal UK singer-songwriter Paris Paloma and newly-signed acclaimed singer/songwriter Katelyn Tarver. Each artist performed a heartwarming 3-song acoustic set highlighting their recent releases and favorites, then mingled with friends, labelmates, and industry folk, enjoying an open bar plus seemingly endless supply of complimentary New-York style pizzas.
Paris recently released a live version of her anthem “Labour”, which climbed the charts and stirred up intense social activity on YouTube and TikTok. She will be touring at selected dates across the U.S. this summer, including a performance at Bonnaroo on June 20th. Katelyn is celebrating her newest single and video release “Starting to Scare Me” and preparing for her first headlining tour (which stops in L.A. on October 6th at The Echo… tickets on sale now). Both artists were kind enough to pose for a few portraits for Pass The Aux, after finishing their live sets.
Immediately following the ‘Happy Hour’ event was a beautiful performance by Nettwerk artist Emily James, who was recently named as an ‘Artist To Watch’ by Atwood Magazine. The N.Y. raised, L.A. based singer-songwriter played a full set of soulful selections, ahead of her new EP “Grey” which is set for release this month. Emily will be touring the country later this month supporting indie duo The Ballroom Thieves. She was also generous enough to pose for a few photos for Pass The Aux after the show.
