The KCRW Sound in Focus 2017 lineup has finally dropped! The free summer concert series takes place at the Annenberg Space for Photography on consecutive Saturdays in July.
Headlining the July 15 edition is top-tier alt-R&B act Miguel. Also on the bill are multi-instrumentalist Gabriel Garzon-Montano and DJ Stretch Armstrong.
Paul Oakenfold headlines the July 22 show, with awesome rock up-and-comers Mondo Cozmo and Lo Moon on the undercard. I’ve caught Mondo Cozmo and Lo Moon multiple times on the festival circuit the past few months, and they are definitely worth turning out early to catch.
Closing out the series on July 22 are Rodrigo y Gabriela, with Natalia Lafourcade opening things up. KCRW’s Jose Galvan will be spinning DJ sets that day.
