This past Saturday night, Portland’s own sister-trio Joseph took the Fonda Theatre stage to a very generous crowd.
Fresh off the release of their third studio album, Good Luck, Kid, the three took to a two month U.S. tour, ultimately ending in Los Angeles with us and then finishing in San Francisco.
From the moment Joseph took the stage with smiles on their faces, the audience whirled with excitement. These women have made a place for themselves in their craft with their unmatched vocal stylings and abilities that we couldn’t help but go insane for them! Opening their set with song, “In My Head” off the new record, fans were off and running. Backed by a full band, these girls’ voices were amplified and only stood out more.
Following up with an earlier favorite from their second record, I’m Alone, No You’re Not, “Canyon”, the night was officially theirs. For the next hour they properly owned the show and proved that harmonies are still one of the most satisfied qualities of live music. One moment the theatre would be wild and dancing and the next it would be still as the girls mesmerized with stunning singing. We couldn’t be happier to have caught these girls in LA at one of our favorite venues. Until the next time, Joseph!
