Fresh off a hot and emotional sold-out show at The Echo, British electropop outfit The Japanese House will return to Los Angeles with a March date at the Teragram Ballroom.
The show will take place Friday, March 10. The Teragram Ballroom is one of my favorite venues, a beautiful 500 or so capacity space downtown. It’s a good and logical next step for Amber Bain’s magnificent project — tickets to their Echo show were hard to come by and sold out very quickly when they went on sale.
The only downside of this gig is that it all but rules them out for Coachella based on radius clauses associated with most festival contracts. It would have been a joy to see them in one of the tents at the Polo Grounds early in the day. I actually caught them for the first time this past May at Shaky Knees in Atlanta, knowing nothing about them going in. Their stature has grown greatly, in no small thanks to touring with The 1975 earlier this year.
Tickets to see The Japanese House at the Teragram Ballroom are priced at $18.00 and go on sale Friday, December 16 at 10 AM Pacific Time. The event is all-ages.
We can’t wait to see the debut album from The Japanese House, who have released three incredible EPs thus far. Make sure you circle the Teragram date on your calendar for next March. You won’t regret it.
