This January, Los Angeles womens collective Girl School LA launched their inaugural three-day music festival featuring all female-fronted acts at the Bootleg and it was a massive hit. They’ll be returning next month for another three-day fest and we’ve got all the details.
Headlined by Chelsea Wolfe, the festival will take place from January 27 to 29. It will also feature panel discussions and talks to go along with the slate of music. Standout performers include Deap Vally, The Bird and the Bee, as well as rising favorite of ours Luna Shadows. Panels will be led by Ruidosa, Soundgirls.org, Music for Pictures (Alicen Schneider, NBCUniversal), Madame Gandhi, Women in Media (Andrea Domanick, Noisey), Dannielle Owens-Reid, Radical Aliveness (Jennifer Huang), Ableton Controllerism (Laura Escude), and Rock N Roll Camp for Girls LA.
In January, Girl School added The Regrettes, Boyfriend, Summer Twins, and Linafornia (DJ set) to the bill.
