We caught a glimpse of Los Angeles electropop act Electric Guest a few weeks back as they shook off the rust at Monty Bar for a live gig. Now we’ve got even more good news — they’ve announced a tour that includes a date at the Teragram Ballroom in March.
Their new album Plural dropped February 17, and you can stream it at the bottom. It’s definitely worth checking out.
Along with the tour announcement, the band released the video for their single “Dear to Me,” which signifies their first new music in five years. The video features the HAIM sisters, who sing backup vocals on the track. It also features Andy Samberg. Watching the HAIM sisters dance around a classic car in black and white just feels right.
The song itself features incredible pitch-perfect vocals from Asa Taccone. It’ll be on their upcoming new album, due out early next year. It was self-produced and recorded.
Their first North American tour in four years wraps up Saturday, March 25 at the Teragram Ballroom. Tickets are priced at $18.00 to $20.00 and go on sale Friday, December 9 at 11 AM Pacific Time. Doors are at 8 PM and the show is at 9 PM.
We were blown away by their brief set at Monty Bar, where they shared a couple new songs to go along with “Dear to Me.” Needless to say, we’re looking forward to seeing them again.
