Cherry Glazerr has sold out their biggest hometown date — Thursday night’s show at the Teragram Ballroom — but they’ve added a show Wednesday night at The Smell just for good measure.
The rising rock trio — who we think are destined for a breakthrough 2017 — will play The Smell on February 15 for a special $5 show. The Smell is the iconic DIY space that is being shut down soon, and Cherry Glazerr’s roots are very much tied to the venue. They’re touring in support of their killer new album Apocalipstick, which was released at the end of January.
The band has graduated out of the Burger Records family and signed with Secretly Canadian before dropping the new record. The album is a major step forward for the band. The production is of a higher level and they’ve really cleaned things up and added some depth to their sound. I saw them open for Best Coast and Wavves last year at the Fonda Theatre and they are one of the most fun young rock bands out there today. It’s amazing to know that lead singer and guitarist Clem Creevy is only 20 years of age.
You can get tickets to see Cherry Glazerr at The Smell for $5.00 now!
