Aussie-born, LA-based Cameron Avery is the touring bass player for Tame Impala, but he’s struck out on his own and will swing around Los Angeles next month after SXSW.
The jack-of-all-trades is also the long-time drummer for Pond — played at the Masonic Lodge at Hollywood Forever last year and is moving into a bigger venue. Avery will be at the Teragram Ballroom on Tuesday, March 21.
Avery will be releasing his debut album Ripe Dreams, Pipe Dreams via ANTI- on March 10. He’s got a sort of lounge vibe to his stuff, it’s much different than anything you’ve heard from his more well-known projects.
