Icelandic multi-instrumentalist Asgeir has announced a North American tour that includes a stop in Los Angeles this September!
Touring in support of his well-received sophomore album Afterglow, the singer-songwriter will make a stop at the Troubadour on Tuesday, September 12. Asgeir first made an impression on me with a performance at Life is Beautiful in Las Vegas in 2014, particularly with his cover of Nirvana’s “Heart Shaped Box”.
His debut album In the Silence dropped in 2013 and was incredibly strong from top to bottom. Afterglow is a step forward for the singer, taking the best of the worlds of Bon Iver and James Blake and crafting that with a little bit of soul and gospel.
Tickets to Asgeir’s show at the Troubadour go on sale Friday, June 16 at 12 PM noon Pacific Time. They are priced at $20.00 and doors open at 8 PM. You can also catch Ásgeir at Austin City Limits on October 7 this year.
